Bug: incorrect use of icon overlays in TortoiseSVN

From: Hans Guijt <hg_at_terma.com>

Hi,

My problems (I've seen two; I do not know if they are occurrences of the
same problem or not):

1. I added a directory with files to an existing working base. The added
directory and files got a '+' overlay to indicate their added status. After
committing, there was no overlay icon (neither a '+' nor a green checkmark)
on the directory (the files were fine). I expected to see the green
checkmark. Only after rebooting did the icon show up correctly.

2. I updated the same repository. After the update, _all_ files and
directories at root level were marked with the green checkmark, including
many that are not under version control. No amount of closing/reopening the
window corrected the problem. After ~15 minutes, the situation corrected
itself though.

The first problem persisted for hours without correcting itself.

I'm using:

TortoiseSVN 1.4.0, Build 7501 - 32 Bit , 2006/09/15 21:34:55
Subversion 1.4.0,
apr 0.9.12
apr-iconv 0.9.7
apr-utils 0.9.12
berkeley db 4.4.20
neon 0.25.5
OpenSSL 0.9.8b 04 May 2006
zlib 1.2.3

I am not subscribed to the Tortoise mailing list, so please CC any replies
directly to me as well.

Regards,

H. Guijt
