Just a short suggestion and that is to run CHKDSK /F from the command
line and see if there is a physical problem with the HDD.
It's not something reported on the user's list that I can recollect.

Maybe a good defrag too.
Hopefully people are not accessing your WC over the network. Sharing WCs
is fraught with peril.
