Modified files in externals directories

Hi,

when there are modified files in a working directory and in any
externals directories the commit dialog lists all of them and they are
checked by default. But the commit only includes files that are not
contained in any externals directories.

Shouldn't the modified externals files be unchecked and disabled if
there are any checked modified non-externals files to make the user
aware that they will not be included in the commit? Or is there a
better solution?
