I don't think that's what Craig was saying at all.

The OP was asking for help with a batch file, automating a subversion
operation. In this case, the CLI is probably the best way to do it,
if you want to completely suppress any user interface.

I alternate between TSVN and the CLI, depending on what I'm doing.
Personal preferences differ, and some operations are faster on the CLI
than using a mouse (even though I'm on Windows, I always have a
command prompt open).
