I must have had the wrong head fitted when I answered that one. You can
already ignore single items from within the commit dialog (which I did
not know), but you can't ignore multiple items in one hit, as you can
from explorer.

And of course you can refresh the list - I always forget this one too -
simply by hitting F5. Maybe there should be a button for that, as there
is in some (but not all) of the other windows.

It certainly makes sense to do what you say, but I'm not sure how easy
to is to vary the menu depth on the fly.
