shared or common folder for all tortoises

Does it make sense to have a shared or common folder for all tortoises? I now have 3 separate copies of tortoisePlink on my machine. Two are identical and one is different. It's a microscopic file (300kB), and I can see the advantage of having all dependencies in the same place as the installation, but maybe there is some room for collaboration among tortoises?
