DCVS application for TortoiseSVN

I've started to think of ways that TortoiseSVN could be used as a distributed version control system (DVCS) since there are many attractive features in both DVCS and TortoiseSVN (and Subversion in general). I also think that it might be possible to set up without making too many changes at all to TortoiseSVN or Subversion, perhaps as a plugin/extension or external property.

I am very interested in working on such a project. Is any one else interested? You may email me directly.

@Stefan do you think such a project is worthwhile or possible? Is it in the interest of TortoiseSVN?
