T-Merge hided cursor and editing Qs

I use T-Merge for lot of work, it become to be my favorite precommit editor.

I know I'm not first one to open this theme, but:

What is reason that there is no caret in left window. When you use
arrows you move invisible caret. And as you don't know where you are
moving up/down is bit uncomfortable. Actulay even caret is invisible you
can select text.
I would like to have caret visible.

Why we cannot edit left file.
I would like to be able edit even left file in at least 2-view. Many
times I compare two similar files (like two derived classes from same
parent) and want move one line to left one to right ... I can use
"Switch L&R of course", but I have to save files before that and I lose
my position.
I recommand: add ReadOnly flag to view. This file would be set from
command line (TortoiseProc) for views which deals with temp files and/or
revision files. In fact I don't see reason why I can edit right panel
while comparing two revisions. (Show Log, choose revision, double click
on modified text file - you can edit right panel (but not left)). You
can save your changes to other file ... swap and you are still comparing
original files ...
If editing temp file is needed you can still use some switch (per panel
would be nice) to switch between RW/RO modes. Save file may be placed
here too.

You stated:
"TortoiseMerge is not a text editor but a merge tool. And only one file
needs editing: the target file, i.e. the one which is the result of the
merge."
While we are talking about T-Merge as Diff/Merging tool for TSVN then
yes. But then I need other diff tool for other job, sorry this does not
sound me good.
Make it straigth forward for beginers and "swiss knife"-like for
advanced users.

I would like to be able edit left file even in 1-pane view. I understand
this may lead to some conflict situation, but I think it is same as
merged view does.

This are NOT urgent issues, just tried to share ...
