TortoiseProc.exe crashes on any action

Hi,

I've already been using
TortoiseSVN 1.5.9 Build 15518 on Subversion 1.5.6
for the last couple of months - never had problems with it.
Since last wednesday TortoiseProc.exe throws error messages on any action I try to perform. The english translation would be something like "an error occurred in <adress> while reading <adress>" or so.

Several attempts to de-/reinstall, regClean, cClean always ended up in the same error message as described above.

The only hints I can give are that
a) trying to open "settings/log cache" also throws an alert that reads like "attempting to read beyond the end of unknown file" and
b) having .net start as debugger seems to have detected a CArchiveException (with no further explanations since no sources are available)

Any ideas?
