Black would be my initial choice as well, but I'll give it a couple of weeks and we'll see.
 
Another thing about this new checking feature, would it be possible to add some form of separation between the words? I keep reading "Modified Files" instead of "Modified" and "Files". Maybe adding a comma between the words to make the separation more obvious, or a dash or similar?
 
On a side note: Does the length of all selection criterias dictate the minimum width of the commit window? In that case, could that potentially be a problem in some languages that have longer words for these concepts?
