I can only think of one thing that might be unusual - about once a
week I copy 9,000+ files into a Working Copy from another source
control system, and then commit the changes to Subversion.

Maybe every couple of weeks. I did do a lot of pruning earlier this
week, before upgrading from 1.4.x.

I use Visual Studio 2005. I noticed that TSVNCache.exe seemed to use
a lot processor when Visual Studio was running. That might have just
been coincidence (I usually have Visual Studio running).

I have five working copy projects. Each project has about 9,000 files
that are version controlled, and some more files that are ignored.
