merge-docx.js script broken?

In the last Windows version I’ve downloaded yesterday, the MS Word merge script
(merge-docx.js) seems to be broken.

It has syntax errors, and (after fixing these errors) handling of command line
parameters looks suspicious: Arg #2 is not used…

The compare script seems to work ok.

Unfortunately I’m not familiar with Word scripting and don’t know how to
program a 3-way merge for Word 2007.

(yes I know that storing word docs in Subversion is er... perversion. But we
need this :)
