WG: New project request

Hi,

Our development team came up with an idea. Microsoft Sharepoint has become our main platform to share documents and other media. A lot of people need the features to trigger workflows in Sharepoint and so on. For this reason, we moved a lot of documents from Subversion to Sharepoint.

On the other hand, the people are used to TortoiseSVN and would like to continue to use TortoiseSVN. We came up with the idea to create a Tortoise for MOSS. The functionality is basically the same, the client just communicates with MOSS instead of Subversion.

So my question is: Is something like a TortoiseMOSS in your development pipe? And if not, is it possible to use the word "Tortoise". TortoiseMOSS would sound like an appropriate name for that product.

Regards
Stefan

Sounds like an interesting project. Have you checked with the existing Tortoise community on reusing the name? A good contact-point would be dev_at_tortoisesvn.tigris.org<mailto:dev_at_tortoisesvn.tigris.org>.
