This is a server question so it really belongs on the users at
subversion.tigris.org mailing list, not this one. But since you are
here, this is my response ...

We would definitely not recommend using the repository in this way. If
everyone uses file:// access to the repository on a shared drive then
you have no security at all. Anyone could delete the entire repository
by mistake. Also, depending on how the NAS implements the shares you
could easily get repository corruption as the necesary locking not
work well on network shares. For multi-user operation it is always
better to use a proper server, either apache or svnserve.
