The icons sources were all converted to vector format a while ago, and
the icon bitmaps are generated from these. This simplifies the
provision of huge bitmaps (256x256?) for Vista, but unfortunately
makes the smaller icons used almost everywhere else look much worse.
It would be nice if we could somehow combine hand crafted icons for
the small sizes with auto-generated icons for the larger ones. So if
you know a way of doing that, go for it.
