Strange "Uncommitted changed externals" hint

Hi Folks,

when I commit my working copy, the commit dialog shows me the yellow triangle which indicates "Uncommitted changed externals". The strange thing is that the directory which contains externals doesn't show a modified overlay itself.

WC
- -sub1 (8 changed files, modified overlay)
- -sub2 (externals, no modified overlay)
- --subsub1 (no changed files, no modified overlay)
- --subsub2 (external folder, no changed files, no modified overlay)
- -sub3 (5 changed files, modified overlay)

when I commit from WC, the commit dialog shows me the yellow triangle and 13 uncommitted files. When I drill down into sub2, I get the yellow triangle too, even if none of the files/folders in sub2 is changed.

The yellow triangle is neither shown on subsub1 nor subsub2, which is logical because the contents are not changed.

Updating & cleaning up the working copy and the external folder doesn't change this behaviour.

TortoiseSVN 1.5.0 Build 12278 - 32 Bit

Can anyone explain this behaviour?

Cheers
- - Lübbe
