Ah, that does make sense. I'm using it on a local network so latency
won't be an issue to me.

How about an option to enable displaying externals in the repobrowser?
If it's off by default then behavior is the same as it currently is -
best of both worlds! Maybe adding caching which can be refreshed using
F5 as it currently is.
