Indeed, the problem persists. As it turns out, it is the context menu
displayed on the folder itself that remains without text (right-click in the
right pane), for WC and non-WC folders.

In the tree view (left pane) and on folders/files shown in the right pane,
the menu shows OK.

If you have any information that could help us reproduce this problem?

This is a relatively clean install: W2000 5.00.2195 SP 4
- windows classic desktop
- windows classic folders
- open in same window
- double click to open

- show hidden files/folders
- show extensions
- show OS files

view settings (list/details/large icons/thumbnails) all show the same
behavior.

Different visual effects make no difference (transition effects, smooth
fonts, all colors, hide navigation shortcuts).

Anything else you want me to check?

One thing about my installation: the windows partition is G:, but C: still
contains the previous installation. I am not aware of any references to C
still being used, but can't rule it completely out. At the moment there is
only the administrator account.
