On my PC, if I open the the property page, some parts of windows already
crawls through the directory (I think for count files and sizes). So
maybe there is not much difference. But is this crawling not the thing
which is be done by the cache?

In every case, from my side their is no need to hurry. So I think it is
better to take time for a good solution than making a quick solution.

About the range Info: I think a simple "Modified" or "Mixed" is much
better than a range info with all revisions in it (also because it is
easier to understand for people who "need teached")
