Vista issue: copying protected files

Hi,

We store a detached SQL Server database in SVN (the MDF and LDF files).
I periodically attach the database in SQL Server, do some updates,
detach the database, and commit the files back to the repository.

On Vista (with UAC enabled) I am unable to commit to the repository, I
assume because these file types are "protected" and require
Administrator privileges to copy.

When I try using the latest release of Tortoise (1.45 build 10425) I get
the error message:

Can't copy 'D:\Active\ACR\Database\ACR_Default_Data.MDF' to
'D:\Active\ACR\Database\_svn\tmp\text_base\ACR_Default_Data.MDF.svn-base
.tmp': Access is denied.

When I try using the latest build of Tortoise (1.4.99 build 10848) I get
the error message:

Can't open file 'D:\Active\ACR\Database\ACR_Default_Data.MDF': Access is
denied.

I can manually copy the file in explorer, but have to run the gamut of
Vista approval dialogs to do so.

If I set TortoiseProc.exe to "Run as Administrator" to try to allow it
to run with administrator privileges, then I am unable to commit
anything to the repository as I get the message "The requested operation
requires elevation" as soon as I try.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
