Well, not THAT easy ;) because the required methods to modify cached
log data have yet to be written. I will provide them soon, though.

This is something, I also work on: Once we store per repository
information (URL, HEAD, cache age etc.), we can save most server
roundtrips as well as provide per-repository cache clearing.
