Tortoise problem on windows Vista.

Hi

We've been using the Tortoise client with great pleasure for a while now and
we really love it.

Recently we've got our first Vista box (Vista Ultimate)

The application appears to install correctly.

Setting up the machine by doing a check out however produces a problem.

The initial progress screen comes up as normal, but after downloading about
20kBytes it becomes slower. When it hits the 30K mark, things almost appear
to stop.

After about 10 min, and retrieving a few more files performance comes almost
to a holt. Then probably 45 minutes later, the following error message (
tortoiseError.jpg) comes back.

We've tried different SVN clients, Ankh, RapidSVN, but they all behave
similarly and do not allow us to check out a repository.

RapidSVN was a little faster in getting to the same point.

We've also tried to retrieve part of the repository, but the behavior seems
to be similar (in that after retrieving 30K or so, the client goes into
the extreme slow mode).

Any ideas and help would be much apreciated.
