not yet, but it will soon.

more info here please. If I do that, the files don't disappear but are
automatically put into the "(no changelist)" group, but they're still
shown. So you must be doing something different than what I do, and I
need to know what to fix this.

'awkward' is as unspecific as you can get. What exactly don't you like?

It should only be shown if multiple items are selected with one or
more belonging to an existing changelist. Then those items not
belonging to the same changelist as the others can be added to it.

but the submenu is a good idea.

I don't know yet. Have to find out.
I also thought about a combobox with all the changelist names in it to
select the items. But the checkbox would definitely be much better.
