Wrong icon overlays with latest Tortoise and networked drives

We're getting this old chestnut with 1.4.1.7992 and SVN 1.4.2 (r22196) for
NFS mounted drives and wondering whether there's any fix. Operations work
fine, but after a checkin, all items in the updated folder have green
ticks whether they versioned or not, modified or not etc. If a tortoise
cleanup is run the icons are correct until the next checkin. This is with
the default setting for the icon cache. We've seen it before with a
different client version and file server, but generally it's reliable on
those machines. With the latest versions it's a dead loss though.

Any fix or suggestions?
