Authentication data not clearing using Tortoise 1.4.0 onWindows XP

I think I've found a bug when trying to clear authentication data when using
Tortoise 1.4.0 on windows xp:

I selected TortoiseSVN...Settings from windows explorer, opened the 'Saved
Data' tab and clicked the 'Clear' button against 'Authentication Data'. The
button is now greyed out, but I am not prompted for new credentials when
performing an update or commit. (The respository does not allow anonymous
access and the changesets I commit have my name against them).

Tortoise About info:
    TortoiseSVN 1.4.0, Build 7501 - 32 Bit , 2006/09/15 21:34:55
    Subversion 1.4.0,

    apr-iconv 0.9.7
    apr-utils 0.9.12
    berkeley db 4.4.20
    neon 0.25.5
    OpenSSL 0.9.8b 04 May 2006
