I'm not sure really. I was hoping on some ingenious idea from the list.
:-)

Maybe we /could/ show a progress dialog as we do with cleanup? That
would be better than nothing anyway.

Another possibility would be to gray out the OK button of the properties
dialog, set cursor to hourglass and write something like "Adding new
property, please wait..." in the list control. But as this would be
highly non-standard behaviour I would still prefer a "progress" dialog I
think.

(Of course, all above only applies to when checking the "Apply property
recursively"-checkbox.)
