No authentication dialog after upgrading to 1.4.0

Hi,
After upgrade I no longer have access to my repository:
Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: OPTIONS request failed on '<path>'
Error: OPTIONS of '<path>': 401 Authorization Required <URL>)
I have tried to check out to a new folder from the repository, but I do
not get the dialog question
I cannot authenticate myself! What is the problem?
