Why do you need three images?

I would suggest to only use two images. Then you can overlap the
comparison image if you want, with a button to switch it on/off (like
the info box does now).

Because if you have three images, this won't work well with big images.
That's also why I don't like KDiff3 - it shows the three text files
side-by-side so that you can't see much of the files anymore.
