Uhm... in what way? In the fact that it was used to fill another control
when one item is selected? I don't see this as a problem, I even found
it quite nice the first time I discovered this in TortoiseCVS.

The big deal is that it's a new window, it's not "geographically" close
hence not very user friendly. I agree it's not dramatically annoying,
but it's a tiny thing that makes user's experience (for some) a bit less
appealing.

I usually prepare all my commits and send them one after the other.
However, some of them may fail because of a missed update, or because I
clicked too fast (repository locked). Doing this, the message do get in
the history, but they are not always the first ones and I find it
annoying that I have to look for them in an different window.
Once again, this is not dramatic, but I think that providing both ways
is completely possible. The button could be shortened a bit and using
the space on the right to place a combo box should be possible.
I'm not the one to decide here, but giving both options should make
everyone happy.
