Wow, what a large discussion did Peter McNab's question generate :-) If
I'm correct Peter is a long time user of TSVN. I've seen him post to the
lists for some time now. I wonder why he didn't notice the auto-update
feature before...

Just to add a little more oil to the fire: almost every other program I
run that has a "check for updates"-feature has asked me if it was OK to
connect to the internet the first time a check would be done. So Molle
has a valid point, Stefan. If Microsoft were to do such things (check
without asking prior to the check) they would be publicly crucified (and
they have been in the past).
