On WindowsXP, it works! With name sorting, "foo-1.3.8" is sorted
before "foo-1.3.18".

I have witnessed once that Explorer is clever enough to automagically
change between alphabetical and "pseudo-numerical" sorting depending
on the names of files it has to sort (that is, when I removed/renamed
certain files, the sort order of other files changed). I'm not sure
what the exact criteria is, though...
