Deleted items should show up just fine, if there *were* items deleted.
Only actions which actually occur are added to that info string (so
"deleted: 0" would not show up).
If it doesn't for you, can you give us some more information? Maybe a
screenshot of the update/commit you've done (progress dialog).

Select the entry, hit Ctrl-C.
