No, I was looking in the right place.

Is it possible that there is some delay in fetching the overlays for the
dialogs, even if they are already visible in explorer? I think that's what
fooled me.

I selected "save as" on a file in Delphi and the overlays weren't visible in
the dialog. Note that I didn't have to navigate to that folder, because
Delphi opened the the dialog in the working copy. I selected "save as" in
firefox, navigated into the WC and the overlays were there. I selected "save
as" in Delphi again and the overlays were visible in delphi as well. Weird.
Now they're visible all the time, but they weren't yesterday. I swear!
