Mac OS 9 is still frequently used by Japanese designers, because
the upgrading fonts for a new OS can cost thousands of dollars.
(Some Mac OS X apps still use CR too.) My use case is that these
designers do not use Subversion, so I would prefer to retain the
original file format.
Also, TMerge is a _GREAT_ diff utility for non-versioned files! :-)
Of course, I probably would not have even suggested this as a
"Feature Request" except that I went to the trouble of looking at
the TMerge code and saw partial support for CR. As usual, it's just
Micro$oft's short sightedness in the way.
I would submit a small patch myself, but the free version of
Visual C++ doesn't come with MFC.
