aborted commit should keep log message somehow

hi folks,

it has been bothering quite a while and i cant imagine that this has not been
requested before but i could not find anything so far.

when committing changes is aborted for any reason then my nice put in log
message is lost 4ever.

could dump the log message for reuse into the abort dialog or provide some other
means to save it?
