I have no idea what Stefan's position is on RC builds, but RC (Release
Candidate) to me that means no new features get added to the current
version, just bug fixes (no matter how tempting the feature is). New
features (or additions to current features) during RC have a tendency to
introduce bugs into the official release and/or make RC longer than it
should be. Just personal experience. This would make a good 1.3.1
feature enhancement.
