I think you could have phrased that a little better! Bear in mind that
Stefan is coding TSVN almost entirely alone, he is not getting paid a
bean, he fixes most bugs within hours, and has to answer a good
proportion of questions on the mailing list. If that's not service, I
don't know what is.

We do get a lot of RTFM questions on the list too, and it does get
frustrating. The users Stefan is referring to are the ones who don't
bother to look for the answer themselves (in the manual, trying the
options in a dialog etc), but just complain that the software doesn't
work. And yes, sometimes the response comes across as snappier than it
should ;-)

Suggestions for improvements are always welcome, and there are always
ways to make the product better and easier to use. But you need also to
bear in mind that your suggestion may have come up and been discussed to
death, even before you came onto the mailing list. And suggestions are
often rejected because they (or something similar) have been tried in
the past and caused trouble. Stefan's opinions are usually based on the
years he has spent answering questions on this list and trying to evolve
the product to make it more intuitive.
