OK, I will have a go at that. I was thinking maybe keep that file as a
procedure for the devs and make a separate 'This is what we do and why
we do it this way' html file for the website.

You announced on Tuesday morning that you would be building 1.2.2 on
Wednesday evening. That's < 2 days and only 1 more nightly after the
announcement. Maybe you stopped putting in big changes for a week, but
no-one else knew that until Tuesday. (OK, SVN 1.2.3 was a big hint that
something would be coming soon, but it doesn't hurt to be obvious).
