Sure, but why???
I mean, first we have to get the unified diff (which can take a while
to complete). And then we should still download *each* file separately
again to do the diff? And that even if we just can pass the unified
diff to TMerge and we're done?

I don't think I understand what you really want here. "compare with
working copy" already *is* there.
