[TSVN] Subversion artifacts in repository and working copy

From: Phil Shaw <phil_at_codestyle.org>

I upgraded to TortoiseSVN 1.2.0, Build 3602 for Windows 2000 today
from an earlier installation, 1.4 or so I think. I also installed
Subversion 1.2 so I could use svnadmin to make a hotcopy backup of a
file system repository.

I did a checkout to test the the backed up repository and the primary
content was okay, but artifacts from the Subversion system itself
appeared in the working copy and repository:

./conf/.svn
./conf/svnserve.conf
./conf
./dav/.svn
./dav
./db/.svn
./db/revprops/.svn
./db/revprops/0
./db/revprops
./db/revs/.svn
./db/revs/0
./db/revs
./db/transactions/.svn
./db/transactions
./hooks/.svn
./hooks/post-commit.tmpl
./hooks/post-revprop-change.tmpl
./hooks/pre-commit.tmpl
./hooks/pre-revprop-change.tmpl
./hooks/start-commit.tmpl
./locks/.svn
./locks/db.lock
./locks/db-logs.lock

Fortunately, this didn't clash with any existing content. I deleted
these directories from the working copy, committed and everything
seems to be okay. I just thought I'd mention it here to see if I have
made an obvious mistake or whether this is a problem you should be
aware of.

Thanks for your work on TortoiseSVN.

Best regards,

Phil
