I'm getting a similar problem with recursive icon overlays, but in a
standard "Tiles" view style. Keeping with the tradition of (!)
representing modified and (v) representing normal:

Hppe (? I'm not actually sure, but I would assume 'normal')
-> Hppe (v)
    -> All files (v)
-> Hppe.Testing (v)
    -> Most files (v)
    -> Some files (!)
-> Hppe.Math (v)
    -> Most files (v)
    -> Some files (!)
etc.

In other words, the recursive icon overlays don't appear to be working
properly at all. I can usually get them to work again for a specific
folder (say Hppe.Testing) if I open that folder then navigate back up.

Also, at least in one case, the above procedure of opening a sub-folder
and navigating back to its parent actually seemed to refresh the
recursive overlays for ALL sub-folders.

This problem is has appeared since I updated from v1.7 to v1.2 build 3602.
