Just teasing. My (argueably bad) sense of humor sort of dictates that
anything funny is a lot more funny if someone gets hurt :-). Sorry if
I offended you, Mark..

I'm aware that shoddy mouse drivers, troublesome mice, badly
responding GUIs and a range of other things can cause undesired double
clicks. I just think that removing the double click is the wrong
solution. Double-clicking is inherently useful for stuff that is a
little too dangerous for single-click but still harmless enough not to
be kept 3-4 mouse actions away.

Ho hum. There. Think I've made my opinion painfully clear now.
