The thread is about 1.1.5-RC2, and 1.1.5-RC2 does not have the cache
(assuming you mean the new status cache engine). I still do not
understand where checking the status of a complete directory is a (good)
feature when you only click on one single file.

That is not the point. The point is that retrieving the file status can
be very time consuming (at least when you once used the "set file dates
to last-commit-times" setting). That means the time to click on a single
file depends on the number of files/bytes in your working copy, where it
should not. I am prety sure I could create a WC where it takes three
minutes if you really need that as a proof.

So in my opinion the question is:
Why does TSVN 1.1.5 scan the complete directory and TSVN 1.1.2 does not?
Has there been introduced a new feature that requires the complete
directory status?
