[TSVN] REQ: Re-releasing after releasing

Hi,

I think that, one or two weeks after releasing a version, if some
really important bug is found (example: paths with spaces are broken,
or missing popup-entries like happened in previous versions), please
consider re-releasing the version with those few bugfixes.

I know:

1. there are nightly builds, yes, but they include some changes or
features that may be broken too, and it won't ever finish. I just want
your 1.1.3 version and those little problems fixed, not a new brand of
software which is under-construction.

2. backporting fixes is time-consuming, and you're working on this for
free. I know and I greatly appreciate your work on this program. But
having an official release with serious bugs and having to wait 2
months to have another official release and pray it doesn't have
(whatever) broken... I think it is too much time.

I don't mean to backport every bugfix, but really major or most
usefull ones. For example, I would applied at 1.1.3:

* 2448 Fixed 'remove' command

* 2471 Make the ignore pattern match pathparts in the middle of a path
too

* 2513 Don't export .svn folders when doing extended exports

* 2559, 2601 and 2637 Don't remove double quotes from the command line
anymore when starting an external program, If the param already is
enclosed in quotes, don't do it again

* 2560 and 2567 Fix: removing of multiple files made TSVN crash!

* 2577 If no ssh client is set, use TortoisePlink as the default
client (not important, but you'd saved quite a lot support-seeking
emails)

* 2582 If the diff/merge program was specified without the
'replacement' params, just add the filepaths to the command line so
that some diff/merge programs still work

NOTE: I haven't find the one about blank-spaces.

If a version had been released by r2582 (not including 2601 and 2637)
we would have a stable and more bug-free version just 1 week after
first release. I know that re-releasing is not "beautiful", but it is
useful, which I understand it is more important.

Anyway, thanks for your efforts. Don't take my arguments on the wrong
side: I'm working on a big project too and I really know what branches
and bugfixes backporting and patches and re-releases are. I don't like
them, but my customers can't wait until a new version comes - say -
two months ago.

Best regards,

Fernando Nájera
