Some questions:
Can you define 'lockup'? Do you mean a delay, or do you mean you have to
kill the explorer process from task manager?

Did you use an earlier version of TSVN which didn't have this problem?

Do you have a virus scanner? Presumably yes, so can you try turning it
off temporarily to see if the problem goes away? Some virus scanners
interact badly with SVN. If turning it off fixes the problem, try
excluding .svn folders from the scan.

Do you regularly delete working copy folders? The .svn folders contain
many small files which really clog up the recycle bin.

If not, what sort of junk are you seeing in the bin which wasn't there
before?
