Yes, but TortoiseSVN is the sweetest, smoothest, most handsome GUI for
Subversion.
The tortoise wants to keep ahead of the race, and have as little
annoyances as possible..
It should of course be off by default.

You'd be right =).
However it depends on how you phrase it.
I'd coin it more like "_why_ do I have to do this every time I commit
with TSVN, when it would be so simple to have the machinery do it for
me"...

Anyway, just talked to the fellow again and he had changed his mind.
Now he thinks that this actually works as noted above.
So, never mind.

(Now he's annoyed that the diff in Tortoise shows lines containing
'$Revision$' lines as having been changed because the WC has a number
in there. No idea how big of an annoyance that is, I could imagine I
wouldn't care much myself.)
