I just saw the same behavior. Once it got to be about 170MB the process
ended and another one started right away and all was OK. CPU was pegged
and memory rose rapidly during this process.

I was opening a folder that had about 12 unique WC's in it. Each with
lots of subfolders (Java). Only two of the WC's have a lot of files
(~1000). The others have less files.
