"password.conf" indicates you're using svn or svn+ssh. Please read the
FAQ on how to use TSVN with svn+ssh:

To make an author appear, you must specify the username in the URL -
otherwise Subversion can't see the authorname because SSH hides the
whole authentication stuff from it.
