And that's exactly my point: many people (including me) have working
copies from different servers/projects with different issue trackers
assigned to it. And that means exposing the login name to different systems.

That's a good idea - the best I've heard so far ;)
Now there's only one problem left: how to prevent an authentication
dialog interrupting the user.
