I think what Lübbe meant was that with a separate repository for each
project you will have less problems when you later decide to
remove/rename a whole project, want to (have to?) host that project on a
different server than the other projects. It's easier to do backups
because there isn't one really big repository (which might not fit on a
backup medium) but several smaller ones (which usually fit better on
backups).
There are some other reasons too, but to mention all of them here would
take too much time...
